County staff said the contract is an as‑needed agreement with an hourly fee schedule; the transcript records an $85 per hour figure for additional coverage and noted editing and post‑production costs for multi‑operator field work. Supervisors said many residents watch budget sessions or post‑closed‑session actions remotely and that capturing those items could require additional budget allocation if the board requests extra coverage.
Board members asked staff to confirm whether the contract includes provisions or hourly rates to have the video crew remain through closed sessions and to capture any short reconvenings; staff said the vendor has an hourly fee schedule and would provide those services if requested and budgeted. One supervisor said the county typically does not exhaust the board budget for these services and expressed willingness to allocate funding if the board chooses to expand coverage.
The board approved the agreement by motion and voice vote; supervisors instructed staff they would follow up if they want additional coverage for closed‑session reconvenings or other as‑needed recording beyond the scope of scheduled Monday sessions.
