Board approves multiple property/facilities contracts, vendor renewals and tank remediation claim

The Property & Facilities and Finance committees brought multiple procurement recommendations to the board on May 19. The board approved committee recommendations to award low bids for building and infrastructure projects and to authorize associated contracts for services.
The committee reported low bids for several projects: JTL data network replacement (Gayeti Communications), boiler and hot water heater replacement (JBM Mechanical), Smithfield Elementary boiler replacement (JBM Mechanical), and North Phase 3 stormwater repairs (Excavating — amount reported in committee comments). The board moved to approve those awards consistent with committee recommendations.
The board also approved renewals and vendor agreements discussed in the Finance report: purchases of Cisco PoE switches and cameras funded by a PCCD grant, a three‑year legal services engagement (Fox Rothschild LLP) for MCTI, an equipment lease agreement and a telephone service agreement for MCTI, renewal of certain software contracts, and the district’s insurance renewal package presented by the broker Engel, Hambrayton & Davies (total premium reported in the agenda).
Separately, the board authorized work with Miller Engineering to perform emergency remediation on underground fuel oil tanks at Bushkill Elementary and authorized administration to submit a claim to the Commonwealth underground storage tank indemnification fund for remediation expenses.
Board members said solicitor and administrative review of final contract terms remains standard practice before execution.
