Residents from the Golden Acres and Osceola Heights neighborhoods told the board the proposal, which would change the future land use and allow a planned development with townhomes and commercial space, would increase flooding, traffic and reduce property values. “I paid $675,000 for my house,” said resident Robert Jarrell. “My property floods so bad … my fence the bottom of my fence for 2 and a half feet is rotted out.”
