The Bonita City Council approved hours and prices for the 2025 season at the Vinita swimming pool on May 20, 2025, including a new adult-swim period and a new two-person season-pass option.
Pool staff told the council the schedule largely remains the same but adds ‘‘an adult swim from 4 to 6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays’’ in response to public requests. Staff also proposed three season-pass categories: individual, a family-of-two pass, and a family-of-three-or-more pass; staff said pass holders must live in the same household.
Pool-party prices were adjusted ‘‘to cover payroll, essentially, having lifeguards and safety on staff,’’ according to staff. A resident asked whether grandchildren who do not live with a grandparent would qualify for a family pass; staff replied that nonresidents typically purchase daily admission rather than a season pass.
The council approved the hours and prices by voice vote on a motion by Young, seconded by Tyler; no councilor opposed.
The packet includes availability and pricing details and staff said many evenings already book for private pool parties.
