Commissioners approve multiple contracts, grants and purchases in consent agenda

The board also approved amendments to the county’s CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) program as requested by the Redevelopment Authority, and accepted a tax-refund request for $3,043.40 as presented in the meeting.
Finance staff reported a modification to an indigent defense grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD), increasing the grant total to $194,922 and extending the program through Dec. 31, 2026; the board approved the modification. Human services presented an addendum to a provider agreement for permanent supportive housing services with SPHF Connecting that increases the total amount to $49,000 and extends the period through Dec. 31, 2025; the board approved that addendum.
Children and Youth Services reported contract authorization covering Jan. 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029 (no additional county funds required) and requested approval of a provider agreement with Cornell Abraxas Inc. for residential treatment services, increasing the contract authorization to $350,000; the board approved both items by roll call.
Behavioral Health and Developmental Services requested midyear contract adjustments totaling $319,203 for the period through June 30, 2025; the board approved the adjustments. The board also approved a $25,250 agreement with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging for senior center capital assistance, an application to the state Local Government Emergency Housing Support Program for $130,896.71 to assist people displaced by disasters, and a 36‑month equipment pricing extension with a coffee vendor.
Information-technology purchases included a 36-month lease for seven Lenovo laptops at a monthly cost of $253.43 to be paid from the district attorney’s operating budget; the board approved the lease. The board authorized the purchase and installation of a panic-button system for Magisterial District Judge officers to be performed by Status Solutions at a total cost of $42,500; county staff said the cost will be paid from MDJ security grant funds and that Act 13 funds will cover the remaining balance (amount not specified in the meeting record).
Other approvals included four 36-month agreements with Comcast for departmental news access, an agreement-extension with KLH Consulting and Engineering Services, authorization to advertise bids for welding and homeless‑assistance programming, and a revision to the county dress-code policy authorizing casual Fridays (jeans allowed only on Fridays). All items on the consent agenda were approved by unanimous roll call.
