Appointments committee recommends Brian Hall for Gardner Conservation Commission seat

Councilors asked Hall why he wanted to join Gardner’s Conservation Commission now that he is a resident. Hall said he appreciates the city’s amenities, has attended several commission meetings and hopes to contribute his experience and learn from current commission members. Councilor Kacinskas thanked him for applying and said his resume appeared to be a strong fit. Chair Heath and other councilors noted the city has several vacancies and welcomed his interest.
Councilor Hedlund moved to recommend confirmation and the committee voted by roll call to forward the appointment to the full council. The committee recorded that Gardner’s conservation commission terms were recently changed to three years; Hall’s appointment was described in the record as a three‑year term. The committee's recommendation will be considered by the full council before the appointment becomes final.
