Mrs. Mina explained the transfer authorizes the business office to cover study expenses; she said the district expects 75% of that cost to be reimbursed. "This plan will allow the district to obtain a higher tier of grant funding towards related projects," she said.
The board also voted to approve a proposal with Lazardis Engineering Associates DPC to conduct the study. Doctor Egan said the study is the last piece needed to bring the district's bus-garage electrification planning into compliance with NYSERDA's checklist and maximize grant awards.
