Commissioners appoint Mark Johnson and Ryan Reinking to Brown County Hospital Authority Board

Brown County commissioners approved appointments to the Brown County Hospital Authority Board during their regular meeting.

The commission reappointed Mark Johnson to the Brown County Hospital Authority Board by voice vote after a motion and second. Later in the meeting, the board also approved a separate appointment of Ryan Reinking to fill another vacancy on the hospital authority board; that appointment was presented as the board’s recommendation and adopted with no recorded opposition.

The commission briefly discussed the role of the hospital authority board: commissioners said the authority’s primary function is to negotiate contracts with any operator of the hospital on behalf of the county.

Both appointments were approved by voice vote. No additional conditions or terms were recorded in the meeting minutes for either appointment.
