American Municipal Power awards Gorsuch scholarship to Tipp City student

TIPP CITY, Ohio — Harry Phillips of American Municipal Power presented the Richard H. Gorsuch scholarship May 19 to Sienna Montgomery, a graduating senior with plans to study nursing at Wright State University.
Phillips described AMP as a nonprofit wholesale power supplier serving member utilities in multiple states and said the Gorsuch scholarship awards up to five $3,000 scholarships annually. He said 26 students were nominated this year and AMP has awarded $528,000 in Gorsuch scholarships since 1988.
Council and attendees congratulated Montgomery and thanked her father, Pete Montgomery, a Tipp City Electric Department foreman, for his service to the city. The mayor and council wished Sienna success at Wright State.
