TIPP CITY, Ohio — Mayor Logan Rogers on May 19 presented a proclamation recognizing the 50th anniversary of the Tipp City Emergency Medical Services Department and declaring Emergency Medical Services Week in May 2025.
The proclamation noted that the department began with two ambulances and a volunteer roster and has grown into a team that the proclamation described as “18 full-time staff, 23 part-time members, three volunteers, and three ambulances.” The proclamation thanked EMS personnel for their service to the community and referenced the national EMS Week theme “We Care for Everyone.”
Chief Holler accepted the proclamation on behalf of the department and council paused for photos and brief remarks. Mayor Rogers read a citizen comment noting that quick EMS response helped an individual avoid more serious medical problems.
The proclamation aims to recognize the department’s half-century of service and encourage residents to celebrate EMS practitioners during the designated week.
