Pulaski County commissioners approved a request from the Health Department to buy two mobile hotspot devices to support field inspections, vaccine clinics and school presentations.
Marie (Mary) Roth of the Health Department explained the devices will allow field staff to access documents and submit inspection data while working on septic and well permits and during vaccine clinics. She told commissioners the cost is $39.95 per device per month.
A motion to accept the request for two hotspots was made and seconded; commissioners voted in favor by voice. Staff will proceed with the purchase and the devices will be assigned to field personnel for inspections and outreach work.
