Van Buren County commissioners on May 5 approved two separate transfers to purchase computers for county offices, moving roughly $1,089.20 for the Clerk & Master’s office and $3,267.60 for the circuit court clerk.
The motions were made by Kale Crane and seconded by Jordan Delong for the Clerk & Master purchase, and later brought by Crane again for the circuit court clerk. Both motions passed on roll call votes with all commissioners recorded as voting yes.
Clerks and staff said the purchases are routine replacements or upgrades for office equipment. The expenditures were charged to internal account lines as read aloud during the meeting, and commissioners did not debate vendor selection or specifications at the hearing.
