The Granbury ISD Board of Trustees approved the purchase of 200 Cisco wireless access points for Granbury High School on Tuesday, a district official said.
Emmett Whitefield presented the competitive solicitation and recommended approval after the district’s evaluation. Mr. Wilson completed the vendor evaluation, and the board approved procuring Cisco Catalyst 9166L-MR access points from CDW Government for $214,972.
"I move that we approve the purchase of 200 wireless access points for Granbury High School," Trustee Alana said, and the motion passed by a 7-0 vote after Trustee Bolton seconded.
District staff said the equipment is intended to bolster wireless capacity at the high school and replace aging infrastructure to support classrooms and student devices. The purchase was funded through an approved procurement process and recorded in the meeting minutes as a consent/contract purchase.
The board recorded the motion and vote on the public record; staff will proceed with contract execution and installation scheduling.
