Councilmember Benedict pulled the item from the consent agenda for discussion because it affects 24 properties along Kennedy Avenue, Shelton Avenue, Gulf Street and Howard Street. Benedict said a neighbor had contacted her and asked for a meeting, and that Metro Water Services had just emailed her to schedule a virtual meeting in June. "Literally within the past, 15 minutes, I got an email from Metro Water Services, and we're gonna schedule a virtual meeting for June," Benedict said. She said she would announce that meeting in the planning committee and communicate details to neighbors.
After Benedict renewed her motion for approval, the committee voted to recommend the bill; the committee recorded 8 in favor, 0 against and 0 not voting.
