The City Council of Bowling Green adopted ordinances accepting the annexation of approximately 46.172 acres and approximately 11.1929 acres from petitioner Robert W. Mower and then tabled the corresponding interim zoning ordinances until the council’s public hearing date.
Council adopted Ordinance 9,273, accepting annexation of about 46.172 acres in Center Township, and Ordinance 9,275, accepting annexation of about 11.1929 acres. For both parcels, the council tabled the related interim zoning ordinances (Ordinances 9,274 and 9,276) until the public hearing on June 2.
Separately, the council introduced several annexation and interim zoning ordinances for smaller parcels along Sandridge Road — including ordinances accepting roughly 2.66 acres (14556 Sandridge Road) and 2.92 acres (14618 Sandridge Road) — and scheduled required public hearings for Monday, July 7 (time to be set by the clerk). The council also set a July 7 public hearing for Ordinance 9,281, which would place 416 West Wooster Street on the local historic register with historic overlay zoning.
The actions change municipal boundaries and start the zoning-review process; when interim zoning ordinances are tabled, the council typically holds hearings before final zoning decisions. The transcript records the votes to adopt the two annexation ordinances and the votes to table their paired interim zoning ordinances.
