Board accepts deed dedication for Klondike Road right of way

Graham County's Board of Supervisors on May 19 accepted a deed of dedication for right of way on Klondike Road from Mary Lee Hayden as part of a past Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project.
Michael Bryce of the county engineering department explained the deed relates to a CDBG project completed earlier. He said funds were set aside to purchase the right of way when the project was done; the property owner initially hesitated but has since agreed to execute the document and receive the funds.
A board member moved to accept the right of way from the Hayden family and the motion passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition. The county said the acquisition will add to its available right of way on Klondike Road.
