District 128 to renew intergovernmental service agreements for hearing itinerant and physical therapy

District 128 administration told the Program and Personnel Committee on May 12 that two existing one-year intergovernmental agreements — one to share a hearing itinerant and one to share a physical therapist — will be renewed for the 2025–26 school year.
"District 120 was at 60% and we were at 40. Next school year due to the needs of our students, it'll be 50%, 50%," Brian McDonald said about the hearing itinerant arrangement, adding both districts are agreeable to the new split. He described the agreements as one-year arrangements that the district brings back annually to confirm needs and staffing.
On the physical therapist agreement with District 70 and District 120, Brian McDonald said the arrangement will remain the same for next year as this year and that it, too, was structured as a one-year intergovernmental agreement.
Administration said both agreements worked "very well this year" and that each will be presented as action items at the full board meeting. The committee did not take formal votes on the items during the May 12 committee discussion.
