District prepares 2025-26 consolidated district plan; board to review and approve so grant applications can proceed

Tom, a district administrator, briefed trustees on the Illinois Consolidated District Plan (CDP) for fiscal year 2025-26 at the May 12 committee meeting and said the plan consolidates the district's Title 1, Title 2, Title 3, Title 5 and IDEA grant planning.
Tom told trustees that the CDP allows the district to present a unified plan for how federal and state grant funds will be used to meet district and student needs and that if the district is not making major changes it may submit an updated plan that looks similar to the prior year's submission. He said staff will circulate the updated 2025-26 CDP within the next week and that the board will be asked to approve it at the May board meeting so the district can file for Title and IDEA grants.
Tom described the CDP as an administrative but necessary document that organizes multiple grant programs and noted the district is not launching new large initiatives with grant funds for the coming year but will make iterative adjustments to existing improvement efforts.
The committee had no substantive questions and staff said the board will receive the updated CDP in the board packet before the May meeting.
