District to renew intergovernmental agreements for hearing itinerant and physical-therapy services with neighboring districts

District 128 staff told the committee they will bring intergovernmental agreements to the board renewing shared services for a hearing itinerant with District 120 (moving from 60/40 to 50/50 allocation next year) and a physical therapist agreement with District 70 and District 120 for the coming year.
District 128 administrators briefed the Program and Personnel Committee on two intergovernmental-service agreements that will be presented to the full board for approval.
Staff said the district and District 120 share a hearing-itinerant service. This year the allocation of service time was 60% District 120 and 40% District 128; staff said the allocation will be 50/50 next school year because of changing student needs and that both districts agree to the new split. The committee was told the agreement is an annual contract that the districts renew as they reassess needs.
Staff also described an intergovernmental agreement that provides physical-therapy services through a shared arrangement among District 70 and District 120; staff said the arrangement would continue with the same scope and allocation for the next year and that it is likewise a one-year agreement to be renewed annually.
Committee members asked for no further clarification and staff said both agreements would be placed on the board meeting docket as action items.
