Predators and Ford Ice Center staff reported expanded community, youth and women’s hockey programs, partnerships with local colleges and arts organizations, and major charitable distributions through Preds Foundation initiatives.
Amy Bratton, director of social impact and growth, summarized the guider platform (Growth, Understanding, Inclusion, Diversity, Equality and Representation). She said the team used eight games this season to highlight the guider platform and provided 38 paid performance opportunities tied to music‑heritage nights; the program also commissioned four artists to produce music‑themed logos used in merchandise and fundraising. Bratton said the Preds Foundation raised approximately $57,000 from those activities to be returned to community partners.
Jennifer Binecki reported on youth hockey and Ford Ice Center programming. For the 2024–25 season the organization introduced roughly 675 new hockey players to the sport across several markets, with about 370 local participants in the Nashville area. Binecki said the middle‑school hockey program expanded from 10 to 12 teams and that adult league participation has set a record with more than 1,500 adults participating. Preds staff also reported a 245% year‑over‑year increase in women’s participation in their league programs and new partnerships with Total Package Hockey and Nashville Junior Preds to unify travel‑team pathways.
Rebecca Gaines described a Preds Foundation distribution event where $850,000 in checks were handed out to roughly 90 nonprofits in a single event; she said that, combined with other seasonal giving, the organization expects to distribute about $2.5 million to Middle Tennessee nonprofits within approximately six weeks. Gaines also highlighted partnerships for foster-care awareness and other community-directed grants and scholarships.
Presenters noted collaborative work with Metro Schools and Fisk University (student panels and seminars), workforce and internship opportunities, and continued plans to grow community programming, including events that provide college credit and hands‑on experiences for students.
