The committee set the tuition rate for students who reside outside Massachusetts at $17,275 for the 2025–26 school year. The district said that rate follows past practice of using the district’s most recent per‑pupil expenditure figure to calculate out‑of‑state tuition.
The committee also approved a full‑day preschool annual tuition rate of $6,000 for 2025–26; the committee had previously set the half‑day preschool rate at $3,000. District staff said the preschool program anticipates strong interest and will run a lottery if demand exceeds available seats; preference will be given to returning families seeking a second year.
In addition, the committee voted to open one additional school‑choice seat in grade 5 for entrance in the 2025–26 school year after a previously accepted school‑choice student became regularly enrolled. The motion passed on a roll call vote with members voting yes.
The committee approved a building‑use request from CAP Kids for sports clinics at the high school gymnasium on dates listed in the meeting packet.
All four motions were carried unanimously in roll-call votes recorded during the meeting. Committee members did not alter the recommended rates or conditions during the meeting.
