Waukegan CUSD 60 announced that Waukegan High School’s class of 2025 will hold commencement at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Weis Field, with gates opening at 4 p.m. and each graduate receiving four guest tickets.
Nicholas Alazakis, director of communications for Waukegan Public Schools, said the district set a rain date of Saturday at 1 p.m. and emphasized that no one will be admitted without a ticket.
The district also scheduled eighth-grade promotion ceremonies at the Genesee Theater: Smith, Lewis and Benny Middle Schools on May 21, followed by Abbott and Moir on May 22. The district reminded families that the final day for student attendance for the 2024–25 school year is Friday, May 23.
