OLRT advisory committee recommends $1.6M in fall grants; commissioners add cap to Granby trail award

The Grand County Openlands, Rivers & Trails (OLRT) advisory committee presented its fall 2025 grant-cycle recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on Oct. 21 in Granby.
OLRT administrator Anna Drexler told the board the advisory panel received multiple applications across program categories (open space, trails, wildfire prevention) and recommended funding most of them. The packet included requests ranging from operating support for trail groups to construction funding for town-led trail segments and conservation easement costs. The packet used June fund balances for the 2016 uses account and other OLRT funds for trail/wildfire and 2023-uses line items.
