At the Hooksett Trustees of Trust Funds meeting trustees raised ongoing questions about unidentified cemetery plots and blocked payouts tied to those plots.
A trustee reported that, according to the September reports, 62 cemetery plots remained unidentified. A trustee said the monies from those accounts cannot be paid out until the plots are identified.
Trustees agreed to seek an update from staff and volunteers working on the matter. One trustee said she would email the person leading the effort to request a status update and to remind them of the payout restriction: "maybe I should remind him that the monies from those accounts cannot be paid out until they are identified," she said. Trustees said they would follow up at the next meeting.
No formal vote or change to policy was recorded; the exchange was a request for information and a direction to obtain a status update.
