CVTA TAC, authority recommend project agreement for Chesterfield Route 360 widening

The Central Virginia Transportation Authority advanced a project administration agreement for Chesterfield County's Route 360 widening project to the full authority after TAC recommended approval.
CVTA TAC chair Mr. Badenas told members the TAC unanimously recommended the project administration agreement for the Route 360 widening between Otterdale Road and Woodlake Village Parkway. TAC reported the total project estimate at about $44,500,000 and identified a CVTA-allocated amount that staff said should be verified.
At the meeting CVTA staff member Parsons said the correct CVTA allocation is $32,801,076 and that the draft agreement listed an incorrect amount. Parsons said he would verify the figure with county staff before the full authority meeting.
A motion to recommend approval of the project agreement was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote. Members recorded their support during the meeting.
CVTA staff recommended approving the project agreement with the revised CVTA allocation and noted the county requested to split off a preliminary engineering (PE) allocation of $750,000. The remaining allocation would cover construction and related work under the project agreement.
Next steps are for staff to confirm the allocation number with Chesterfield County and place the corrected project agreement on the full authority agenda later this month.
