North Las Vegas updates 215 Beltway Trail plan; Clayton–North Fifth gap remains

Doug Geil, director of parks and recreation for the City of North Las Vegas, gave board members an update on the 215 Beltway Trail on Oct. 14, saying the city will move forward on the segment from Decatur to Clayton while searching for funding and developer partnerships to bridge a remaining gap to Pecos.
Geil said the 215 Beltway Trail is the northern leg of the Las Vegas Valley Rim Trail and that most of the Rim Trail is built through Las Vegas and on to Henderson. “This is the northern leg of the 215 Trail from Decatur to Pecos,” he told the Parks, Arts, Recreation and Culture Advisory Board. “Phase 1 is from Decatur to North Fifth.
