The Richland County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 14 approved a staff-drafted letter inviting state lawmakers to a follow-up meeting on property-tax issues scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at 11 a.m.

County Administrator Andrew Keller presented the letter intended to notify taxing jurisdictions and said invitations to Senator Roman Chuck and Representative John (last name not specified on the record) were included. Commissioners discussed a small revision that staff planned to incorporate and then approved the letter.

Commissioners recorded the motion to approve the letter and voted in favor. The meeting notice and invitation will be sent to taxing jurisdictions and the named legislators prior to the Oct. 23 meeting.
