Hendry County and post office continue talks on new mailbox sites in Montura and LaBelle

Staff also said they were awaiting final box dimensions and confirmation from the new postmaster on the number of boxes needed. A site staking exercise by a local surveying firm was underway to confirm right‑of‑way limits and exact placement. Staff noted the post office board will need to approve elements of the plan and that a formal MOU or interlocal agreement would be drafted and reviewed by county counsel before construction.
