Landon Shear, representing the owner, said the owner's HVAC and plumbing contracting business is outgrowing its current site and asked the county to allow contractor office and outdoor storage as the single BU2 use in a BU2/BPD classification while otherwise restricting uses to BU1.
During the hearing commissioners and the applicant discussed potential noise and late-night deliveries. The board and applicant agreed to limit delivery truck arrivals to no earlier than 7 a.m. and no later than 9 p.m.; the applicant and staff indicated the business expects most materials to be kept inside and that deliveries are typically in box trucks rather than semi-trailers.
The board voted to approve the land-use amendment and zoning change, with the BDP to reflect the use restrictions and the delivery-hour condition. Roll call recorded votes of yes by Commissioner Delaney, Vice Chair Goodson, Commissioner Atkinson and Chairman Feltner.
