Kennedale council confirms multiple appointments to boards and commissions

The Kennedale City Council on Oct. 21 approved multiple appointments and reappointments to city boards and commissions, voting unanimously to confirm the slate of nominees.
Appointments to the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) included Tyson Eubanks to Place 1, Kenneth Michaels to Place 3, Dustin Verona to Place 5, David Glover to Place 7 and Ron Ray to the newly vacant Place 4. Council retained Mark Geary as EDC chair and Marcel Terry as vice chair as noted in the meeting.
For the Keep Kennedale Beautiful board the council appointed Kimberly Courtney to Place 5, Stephanie Yori to Place 3 and Vaush Singh to Place 1 and confirmed Kimberly Courtney as chair and Lori Sanders as vice chair. Parks and Recreation appointments included Tamiko Sargent (Place 5), Veil Coleman (Place 3) and Jazdeep Korr (Place 1). Parks and Recreation leadership named Corey Hines as chair and Develle Coleman as vice chair.
Planning and Zoning appointments were Jeff Madrid (Place 3), Andrew Makowski (Place 1) and Socorro Martinez (Place 5); Makowski was named P&Z chair and Michael Brown was named vice chair. For the Board of Adjustments and Appeals the council appointed Kelly Rod (Place 3), Pat Vater (Place 5) and Tiffany Moroccazzi (Place 1) and designated James Connor as an alternate; Kelly Rod was named chair and Pat Bader vice chair. Library board appointments included Jonathan Shafran (Place 1), Tamiko Sargent (Place 5), Nicole Makowski (Place 2) and Jassy Core (Place 3).
A council member moved to approve the slate and another seconded; the motion passed unanimously. The council did not state staggered terms or expiration dates during the public motion; staff will record the official start dates and terms in municipal records.
