The presenter told the council that the fee summary listed $72,000 for the service and clarified that figure covers a single year of work; staff said the city will return to council next year for the subsequent annual agreement.
Council members asked about internal capability to perform the work; staff answered that the city lacks the in-house expertise and capacity to meet TCEQ recommendations. The motion to approve the one-year agreement passed unanimously.
Staff said Halff will prepare the documentation and updates required by the permit and will provide professional engineering and programmatic services as needed for the coming year. The contract contemplates returning to council for approval of future annual services and fees.
