Conway board approves Oak and Ivy wall sign and door graphics for 1021 Third Avenue

Board staff said the proposed wall sign was previously approved at the business’s prior location and that the new installation meets the city’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) size rules. “The wall sign will meet the UDO as far as size goes,” staff said. Staff also noted the wall where the sign will be mounted is substantially larger than the square footage of the proposed sign.
Staff told the board the applicant also plans two door graphics measuring 24 inches by 24 inches each (totaling 2 square feet). Staff added the door panes involved allow up to 12 square feet of signage and said the proposed door graphics are within that allowance. The applicant’s contractor, A1 Signs and Graphics, was present for the discussion.
Chair (name not specified) made the motion to approve both the wall sign and the window/door graphics as presented; another board member seconded. The board voiced approval and the motion carried.
The board had no public input on the item. The approval was recorded as a certificate of appropriateness for Oak and Ivy’s relocation to 1021 Third Avenue.
