The Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission on Oct. 22 continued public review of application 25-11, a site-plan proposal by Paul Bombaro to construct a two-story commercial building with retail on the ground floor and offices above at 41–45 Bridgeport Avenue.
The continuation came after staff reported the applicant filed additional materials the day of an earlier meeting but has outstanding engineering items to resolve. Chairperson Virginia Harger said the application, initially accepted for review June 11 and continued from hearings in August and Oct. 8, would be carried to the Nov. 12 agenda with the condition that the applicant submit a written request for continuance by the end of the following day or face denial without prejudice. Staff confirmed the applicant submitted the extension letter required by that schedule.
City staff and the commission noted that the city engineer has outstanding questions about drainage and other plan details. Commission discussion recorded that the most recent drawings submitted modified only two elements and did not show required drainage details; the engineer is awaiting revised plans the applicant agreed to provide so traffic, stormwater, and fire-marshal concerns can be addressed.
No formal action beyond scheduling the continuation was taken; the file remains pending while the applicant and the city engineer complete coordination.
