District curriculum staff told the Curriculum Committee on Oct. 17 that the district has distributed HMH and i-Ready materials ordered over the summer and that back-ordered Mystery Science materials have been received and delivered to buildings.
District staff said principals and central staff are working to locate any remaining missing resources; staff who still need materials were instructed to contact their building principal for distribution. The presenter named Teresa Vemmer as actively assisting with locating and ordering materials.
On the previously discussed topic of Fountas & Pinnell (F&P) materials disposal, district staff reported the district will not proceed with wholesale disposal at this time. "We determined that we would pause on that disposal while we monitored the new literacy implementation," the presenter said, and added that when disposal is reconsidered the district would retain one F&P kit per grade level for building use.
No formal committee action or vote on materials distribution or F&P disposal was recorded in the transcript.
