She said the plan shows the district is not meeting its proficiency goal for Hispanic/Latino students in reading. “So that's an area that we need to continue working on,” she said, and noted interventions including AVID Excel and targeted professional learning.
The achievement and integration update was included on the consent agenda; district staff identified areas for continuing work and said they will return with further planning and updates.
