County facilities director reports transfer‑site, elevator, heating work; commissioners approve executive‑session motion

Director Canada (first name not stated), identified as the county’s facilities lead, said the transfer‑site (recycling/transfer building) will not receive final asphalt before winter and that crews will apply an asphalt lift in spring to achieve final elevations and a full pavement section. “The project itself will fall over into spring only because we didn't wanna put down asphalt and try to guarantee that it would hold over the winter,” Director Canada said.

On the elevator, Director Canada said repair parts were expected the following day and staff hoped the unit would be fixed. He also reported coordination with Great West and the contractor to compile change‑order and payment records for a project budget update.

Director Canada updated the board on courthouse conditions. He said dedicated electrical circuits are being installed at the treasurer’s desks to support space heaters while the building boiler remains out of service and staff work on system programming. He said the building’s heating system is zone‑based and that staff continue troubleshooting the controls.
