"There will be very strategic spots from the building. We have about 550 signs across the campus right now," a facilities presenter said. The committee asked about locations and visibility; staff noted many existing signs are easy to miss and said the new design will be more noticeable.
Staff also said the county will own the graphic inserts going forward so updates can be produced in‑house rather than requiring vendor services and costs for future changes. Commissioners discussed the project scale and per‑sign costs; staff said the total budgeted amount aligns with the number of signs and buildings presented in the packet. The committee voted to recommend the project and funding to finance (moved by Commissioner Taylor, supported by Commissioner Webb; 6–0)."
