Sustainability committee opens nominations for chair, vice chair and secretary; terms expire June 30

The Farmers Branch Sustainability Committee reviewed its officer schedule and opened nominations for chairperson, vice chairperson and secretary. The committee's governing resolution sets officer terms at one year and committee members were told current terms expire June 30.

Alex, the staff liaison, said nominations will be accepted between the meeting and the next scheduled meeting and that voting on officer positions will take place in June with terms beginning in July. The committee chairperson was identified in discussion as Lauren; members discussed nominating themselves or others and noted alternates are eligible to serve.

No formal vote on officers occurred at the meeting; the item was informational and procedural. Staff said they will provide members with nomination instructions and the June meeting will include the election.
