Council heard the results of a Jacob Lane electronic traffic survey conducted April 20–May 1: 8,777 vehicles were counted and the average violation speed for vehicles considered in violation was 28.87 mph in a 25 mph zone. City staff said they plan increased enforcement in the near future. Council members and staff also discussed traffic-calming options (striping, mobile speed signs, speed cushions removable in winter) and asked finance to review costs for potential installation.
