Everett School District board holds closed session to review superintendent's performance

President Mitchell announced that the Everett School District Board of Directors recessed its special meeting on May 15, 2025, for an executive session to review the performance of a public employee — the superintendent — and said no formal action would be taken.

The session was scheduled under Procedure 5251P, “evaluation of the superintendent,” and board leaders said the meeting would reconvene in the Monte Cristo Room for about one hour. "There were no changes to the agenda," Dr. Saltzman said before the recess; the board approved the agenda by general consent.

According to the board's announcement, the special meeting was recessed for approximately two minutes before reconvening in executive session for roughly one hour. "No action will be taken during this executive session," the chair said when describing the item. The board later reconvened and adjourned the special meeting.
