NVCOG staff announced a public comment period for a new regional open‑space inventory created with U.S. Forest Service grant funding and asked municipalities to review draft deliverables by June 13.
Christine described an interactive map and a two‑page municipal profile included in the report and guide; the map shows ownership, acreage, use, legal protection level and land record citations for properties across the region. "Feedback from your staff will ensure the accuracy and completeness of this regional resource," Christine said, and staff provided printed executive summaries and QR codes to the full report for board members to distribute.
No board action was requested; staff encouraged municipalities to use the inventory for POCD updates, grant writing and open space acquisition strategy. The board was asked to submit comments by June 13 to help finalize the inventory.
