Faced with an overflow turnout and a need to move the event from another town location, the district and town facilities and IT teams together gathered chairs, set up audiovisual and remote voting systems, and restored the field house to school use within about a day. Letters read at the May 15 meeting, including one from Facilities Director Todd Bloodgood, praised the mobilization of about 30 facilities staff, cooperation with the town Department of Public Works, and the IT team for redeploying the remote voting system.
Speakers highlighted that staff then supported MCAS testing the following morning, ensuring devices and school spaces were ready for students. The superintendent and committee members thanked staff, volunteers and the high school wellness lead who also praised the efficiency of the set‑up and breakdown.
Committee members used the remarks to publicly acknowledge the operational work of frontline staff and to put on record appreciation from administrators and the community.
