Mike moved and Paul Crew seconded approval of the managed print proposal for the district’s next five years; the motion carried on a voice vote. Later the board approved the device refresh after Ron Liberty moved to “approve the 1 to 1 device refresh for grades k fifth to ninth for a total of $168,375. You can pay it on the technology,” with Mike seconding; the motion carried.
Andrew Kaylor, who presented the printer/copier summary and the technology reports to the board, described planned summer projects and the district’s brainstormed policies on technology returned from committee reviews. Board materials attached to the agenda include the vendor proposal for managed print services and a technology fund summary showing the planned $168,375 expenditure.
The district will charge the device refresh to the technology fund; the board did not amend the technology budget during the meeting. Staff will proceed with vendor contracting and scheduling for device deployment over the summer so devices are available for the 2025–26 school year.
