Commissioners approve Myers minor subdivision outside Southeast Fourth Avenue

Bradford County commissioners approved a minor subdivision application for the Myers property, a proposed eight-lot subdivision of roughly 60 acres accessed from Southeast Fourth Avenue and county-maintained roads.
Mindy Andrews, Bradford County zoning director, told the Board the parcel meets county standards and that the Bradford County Soil and Water Conservation District had approved the plat. "There is no infrastructure," Andrews said, adding that lots will rely on private wells and septic systems and that county maintenance does not extend to a 40-foot easement in the parcel's northwest corner.
Andrews noted building setback and buffer requirements for the agricultural-zoned parcels and said the developer did not foresee covenants at this time. Commissioners opened a public hearing and received no public comment before moving and seconding a motion to approve the minor subdivision; the motion passed unanimously.
The approved plat obligates the developer to arrange any required coordination with water management authorities and to conform to county rules if lots are later split under family-lot provisions.
