Committee nominates Matt Ronnell for steering-committee representation of Lake Park Drive

The Barnes Lake Management District steering committee nominated resident Matt Ronnell for consideration to represent Lake Park Drive on the steering committee and agreed to forward his application to the mayor’s office for formal appointment.
During the member-introduction portion of the meeting, Matt introduced himself as a Lake Park Drive resident who has lived on the lake for about four years and volunteered previously to help organize self-spray treatments. A committee member moved to nominate Ronnell; members present indicated support and staff said they would send his application to the mayor’s office to complete the appointment process.
Committee members noted that, after current pending appointments are finalized, one condo-designated seat will remain open. Staff said that once an application reaches the mayor’s office the mayor will make the formal appointment; the committee’s role at this stage is to recommend candidates.
Staff also said they had been able to get Ronnell’s application pushed through prior to the meeting so he is on the list for the mayor’s consideration.
