Board to research hangar fee increases; commercial rate established earlier

Board members said the last rate action created a commercial pay structure for tenants operating commercial businesses and that earlier plans to raise noncommercial rates were delayed for a year to create a phased plan. One board member said the group planned to review hangar rates during the budget season and expected to revisit rates in October.
The director said staff would research comparable rates among neighboring airports to ensure Cleveland’s fees are competitive and that a presentation would be made to the board at a later date. No rate changes were adopted at the meeting.
