Public Works Director Derek Montani presented the agreement and noted the item was reviewed during the recent budget process. He introduced Patrick Johnston of West Yost, the consulting engineer who will be the primary project lead. The contract amount in the staff report was $266,400 and staff asked the council to approve the scope and agreement; the motion passed by voice vote, 5-0.
Derek told the council the water portal and customer-facing tools are nearly ready for public rollout and that staff are trained to use the system. The water master plan will feed into the capital improvement plan and identify priority projects such as the two storage tanks and potential well work already under study.
Ending: City staff will finalize contracts with West Yost and begin the master-planning process; the consultant will report findings and recommended projects back to council in subsequent months.
