Superintendent Doctor Bauer said the cost will come from the high‑school construction project budget and that the new installation will provide redundancy to avoid a single point of failure.
The board approved purchasing and installing a new office trailer at the transportation site at Pembroke Middle School from Mobile Lease Modular Structures. The recommended amount listed in the agenda was later corrected in the meeting remarks to $115,275; the board amended the motion to reflect the revised amount and approved the purchase.
The board also approved Johnson Controls Inc. to repair and leak‑test chillers at several buildings for an amount of $121,628 through CoStars, and authorized Eurofins to perform district‑wide lead water testing under Act 39 for $13,175 as required by PADEP. T&M Associates was authorized to prepare final PADEP closeout documentation for design, installation and testing of a vapor recovery system at Knapp Elementary School; the meeting record described that item as closing out the remaining PADEP requirement for that project.
Additionally, the board provided client consent letters for American Tower (allowing Verizon to add equipment within its easement at the high school site) and consent for Schroeder Group Architects; administrators said the American Tower work is within the carrier's fenced easement and will not impact district operations.
Board members asked procurement and scope questions during the discussion; administrators confirmed there would be no impact on school operations for the American Tower work and that the HVAC and chiller contracts would come from ongoing capital funds or the high school construction budget. All motions passed by voice vote.
