The North Penn School District board voted May 15 to adopt the proposed final budget for 2025–26 at $322,006,704 and to publish notice to adopt the final budget in accordance with state law.
The budget adoption followed board discussion and a motion to approve the proposed final budget. The board also approved a resolution establishing the rates of discounts and penalties on payment of 2025–26 real‑estate taxes and chose to maintain a 7.5% late‑payment penalty rather than increasing it to 10%, the superintendent said.
Doctor Bauer, the superintendent, presented the proposed final budget and asked for a motion. Board members responded by voice vote and the motion passed. The superintendent noted the budget was filed per the Pennsylvania School Code and PDE Form 2028.
Board members discussed the late‑payment penalty at a prior finance work session; the superintendent said the district had reduced the penalty to 7.5% during the pandemic and would keep that rate for this year, adding any future change would be communicated early.
Separately the board approved a real‑estate tax installment payment plan for 2025–26 and ratified routine consent agenda items, personnel actions and transfers that were described as reallocations rather than new dollars.
The board conducted these votes by voice; no roll‑call tallies were recorded in the meeting minutes presented at the meeting.
