The Village of Jackson Plan Commission on May 15 recommended the Village Board approve the final plat for Maple Field Subdivision, Edition 2, and separately recommended approval of a development agreement for Maple Field Subdivision Phase 3, Addition Number 2, conditioned on staff review and approval of forthcoming Exhibit B plans.
Commissioners moved and seconded both recommendations during the meeting. Commissioners asked clarifying questions about how the subdivision phasing is laid out; a staff member explained the item labeled “Addition Number 2” corresponds to Phase 3 of the overall Maple Field subdivision and is located immediately to the left upon entering the subdivision. A commissioner described the phasing as “kind of weird” and sought confirmation that the work aligns with other buildout in the area; staff confirmed it does.
The development-agreement motion included an explicit condition that staff review and approve forthcoming construction plans to satisfy requirements for Exhibit B. The final-plat recommendation and the conditioned development-agreement recommendation both passed by voice vote. The items were presented with staff memos and potential motions in the meeting packet.
The recommendations will be forwarded to the Village Board for final action; staff will continue to review forthcoming plans to ensure Exhibit B requirements are met before implementation steps proceed.
